Probably American, 19th/20th century
The first worked in red, blue and off-white wools in a plaid variation with two fringed and two selvage edges; the second red and white with central field of repeating geometric motifs and flowers enclosed in a conforming border of interlocking Celtic chain motif and Greek-key with checkerboard surround, with two selvage edges and two fringed edges; the third worked in red and white in three rectangular joined panels self-bound at the edges and finished with applied fringed cotton tape; the fourth worked in an orange-red, cream and navy wool in two rectangular panels with four selvage edges; the fifth worked in red and cream in two seamed rectangular panels with three openwork and fringed edges and one self-bound edge
