The openface pocketwatch with circular engraved dial, blue steeled hands and black enamel Roman numeral chapters, within a white enamel striped case, enhanced by rose-cut diamond trim, centering upon a rose-cut diamond "M" within a rose-cut diamond and gold foliate frame on a guilloché blue enamel ground, suspended from a chain of white enamel bar links alternating with seed pearls and diamond collets, suspending a reeded mechanical pencil, within a white enamel striped case, with seal engraved with initials "MFA," mounted in 18K gold, circa 1915, watch chain 16½ ins., with French assay marks and maker's marks, in its original Cartier red leather fitted case
