Eastern India or Bengal, circa 11th Century
Finely carved with the deities seated in 'Royal Ease' on a double-lotus base, Shiva embracing his consort and touching her chin, holding the trident and with his pendent foot resting on Nandi, each adorned with foliate armlets and beaded necklaces, the arched mandorla carved with celestial nymphs
