A Bronze Figure of Shadakshari Avalokiteshvara
Tibet, circa 14th Century
Seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base with beaded rims, his primary hands in anjali mudra with his remaining hands flanking his shoulders, one holding a mala and the other a lotus, the figure adorned with beaded jewelry centered by a rosette at his chest, with necklaces and hems inlaid in silver and with colored hardstones inlaid in the crown, earrings and armlets, his face in a serene expression surmounted by a five-leaf crown with brim inlaid in copper, his hair in a chignon surmounted by a leaf-shaped cintamani
