Of fan shape, with a central roundel inlaid in shell, colored ivory, coral, and tortoise shell, within an openwork border of silver scrollwork with intermittently spaced cloisonné enamel blossoms and butterflies, the underside of the central roundel lacquered in nashiji and set on three silver supports pierce-cast as half chrysanthemum blossoms; illegible signature carved in red lacquer reserve
