The wooden saddle and iron stirrups decorated in raised gold and silver lacquer with Chinese lions frolicking among large peonies on a nashiji ground, the underside of the saddle with impressed Shimazu family crests and a kao (cursive monogram) and ferns and swallows painted in black; the flange of the stirrups with a pierced design of ferns and a diamond-shaped family crest in raised gold lacquer

With a certificate that states that the saddle was called "Kaiya no kura" (the saddle of Kaiya) and the stirrups "Morosaki no abumi" (the stirrups of Morosaki), belonging to Otsubo Nyudo Yuzen and were evaluated 50-mai of gold by Masatomo of Tsujiyama Castle on the twenty-first day of the second month in the eleventh year of Horeki (1761)

With a second certificate that states that the saddle was called "Kaiya no kura" belonging to Ise Suruga no kami Sadamasa and was evaluated at 50-mai of gold by Masatomo of Tsujiyama Castle on the twenty-first day of the eleventh month in the fifth year of Meiwa (1768); an additional certificate states that the stirrups were called "Morosaki no abumi" and were evaluated at 50-mai of gold by Masao of Tsujiyama Castle on the twenty-first day of the sixth month in the fourth year of Tenmei (1784).
