A Celadon and Inlaid Stoneware Small Cosmetic Box
Koryo Dynasty (12th Century)
Round, inlaid on the flat top of the cover in white and black slip with a single chrysanthemum spray encircled by successive bands of black-slip dots, dots within white-slip circles and with white-slip fretwork around the perimeter; the lower body also inlaid in white slip with a slightly larger band of key frets and the entire box covered by a bright green celadon glaze, emerald where thicker; three spur marks on base and three on underside of lid
