An Inlaid and Lacquered-Wood Box
Choson Period (circa 1900)
Rectangular, with deep lower box and shallow cover, inlaid on the lower sides with floral arabesques above bands of clouds in mother-of-pearl, with stems and surrounding borders of slender twisted-metal wire and with random blossoms or clouds of shell, the cover designed with two large flower clusters within borders of auspicious Daoist symbols inlaid in the same materials, interior covered in green paper
