A French ormolu-mounted white-marble garniture de cheminee
Circa 1880
Comprising a mantel clock with a circular white-enamelled Arabic dial within a beaded bezel and an arched column, surmounted by two cherubs one holding aloft a jasperware plaque depicting a female youth, flanked by scrolled foliate supports, the movement with Brocot pendulum and outside countwheel strike on a bell (lacking glass panel), the bow-fronted panelled base with foliate scrolled mounts, on toupie feet, restorations - 47.5cm. high x 31cm. wide x 13.5cm. deep; And a pair of brûle parfum each with a pear-shaped body hung with floral garlands above scrolled supports headed by a mask, above a concave-sided triangular platform and on toupie feet - 38cm. high (3)
