The canted rectangular chequerbanded top surmounted by a chequerbanded gallery, above a frieze drawer with featerbanded panels and centred by a panel depicting a bird, above a hinged fall-front with a rectangular floral panel surmounted by a ribbon-tied swag, with a green baize-lined writing-surface to the reverse, enclosing a fitted interior with one open compartment, four pigeon-holes and four drawers, above a pair of conformingly decorated doors with landscape panels, enclosing a plain interior with one shelf, the sides with simulated rectangular panels, the canted angles inlaid with chequerbanded motives, on square tapering legs terminating in brass toupie feet, restorations
