The case with brass handle to the arched top flanked by four brass vase-shaped finials, later pierced sound frets to the sides, with glazed hinged front door and on claw-and-ball feet, the dial with brass Roman and Arabic chapter ring with half-hour markers and signed Gerrit Bramer/Amsterdam, with blued steel hands, matted centre with mock pendulum, pierced foliate scrolled spandrels and subsidiary ring in the arch for up and down work, the twin fusee movement with verge escapement and strike on two bells, restorations to the movement
