Inspired by K'ang Hsi famille verte and Rouen faience examples, painted in colours with a terrace depicting three tall slender Oriental ladies (Meiren) and a Zotje beside a laid table, further with blossoming chrysanthemum branches with a perched parrot issuing from behind a windscreen, further with another flying bird, the border with six quatrefoil cartouches depicting flower branches, two with perched birds, within scrolling foliage, and; the chairs, hairdresses or coiffures, slippers and background to the border black-enhanced
