The engraving of an unusual Purdey form, best bouquet and scroll engraving with traces of hardening-colour, the lockplates inset with cocking-indicators, boldly-figured stocks with extensions, the combs inset with leather-covered cheek-pads, the 'Special Super Nickel Steel' chopper-lump barrels with game-ribs
Weight 5lb. 15oz., 14¾in. pulls, 26in. barrels, choke approx. cyl. & 5/8 (No.1) and ¼ both (No. 2), 2 5/8in. chambers, nitro proof

The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were completed in 1933 They were originally built without engraving but the guns were returned to Purdey's in 1936 to have this very unusual half coverage of engraving applied. The barrel length is original
