In the Chinoiserie style, painted with scenes and figures overall to the front and side panels, the cabinet opening to two sets of short double drawers and single shelf, above a hinged sloping front and three long drawers beneath, all with drop-loop handles, on bun feet -- 18½in. (47cm.) high

Lot Essay

This cabinet was reputedly a gift to the present owner from Queen Mary. This is attested to by a Buckingham Palace crested card, dated 1934 with the lot.
