A PAIR OF ITALIAN BRONZE FIGURES OF RECLINING ANGELS
Roman, late 17th/Early 18th century
Conceived as pediment mounts, the winged figures wearing tunics and reclining on opposing sides, their arms extended, the wings separately cast and pinned in, two fingertips on left hand on one angel missing, cast with pierced mounting tabs at the back, olive brown patina with extensive black lacquer, each on a later pink granite rectangular plinth
