The rectangular top above a rolling tambour cylinder front, enclosing a range of pigeon holes above a pull-out writing surface with central ratcheted reading surface flanked by covered hinged wells, fronted by a frieze overhanging two deep drawers to the left and a door to the right, the stepped base with downturned squared feet, the back panelled, inlaid overall with geometric scrolling vines and lotus leaf designs
