of rectangular shape with canted corners and mythical bat feet, decorated with panels of figures in fenced garden scenes within bands of feathers and foliate motifs, the interior with two compartments containing pewter liners and covers, fitted key -- 10 5/8in. (27cm.) long; and a large Chinese Export black and gilt-lacquered workbox and hinged cover of rectangular shape with canted corners, on mythical bat supports and with shaped gilt metal side-handle, similarly decorated, the interior with fitted boxes and ivory sewing utensils, a drawer to the side -- 14 5/8in. (37.2cm.) wide. (2)
