A Burgundian (?) Iron Stirrup
Late 15th Century
With fluted sides widening towards the bottom, shaped at the summit to form a leather-box (incomplete), and with the lower edges shaped and pierced, the foot plate formed as a ring enclosing two lateral bars, struck near the top of one side with a maker's mark, a fire-steel (?) within a shaped shield
