The circular lacquered brass dial with Arabic and Roman chapters within an arched plate, below an oblong cabochon inscribed UNA EX HIS ERTT ULTIMA, the later strike on the hour and half hour endless rope movement stamped to the back plate LFS 2564, within an arched front-sliding hood with molded overhanging cornice and cushion-molded glazed hinged door flanked by acanthus marquetry and S-scroll angles, over a waisted banjo cross-banded case inset with a quatrefoil glazed occulus below a marquetry armorial over a later stepped and cross-banded plinth base
