The ormolu-moulded serpentine rectangular top above a conforming case, fitted with a bevelled glazed door, opening to reveal the red velveted interior with one shelf, on cabriole legs tapering to foliate cast sabots, the interior with a plate inscribed V. RAULIN/110 RUE VIEILLE DU TEMPLE

Lot Essay

Victor Raulin exhibited at the 1878 and 1889 Paris Expositions Universelles where he was awarded Silver Medals. He moved his established business to 110 rue Vielle-du-Temple in 1882 and thereafter to 209, boulevard Saint-Germain, continuing until 1925.
