A FINE GOLD, ENAMEL AND PEARL SET MUSICAL, QUARTER REPEATING AND CENTRE SECONDS POCKET WATCH
Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1800.
white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel moon hour and minute hands and centre seconds hand, gilt musical movement with pinned flat barrel and playing on a steel comb on the hour or at will, plunge repeat on two gongs, cylinder escapement, gold cuvette finely enamelled with an urn, flowers and foliate scrolls in translucent blue enamel, drum case with pearl set bezels, dark blue enamel and pearl set band, stem and bow, the back cover set with a finely enamelled portrait of a shepherdess in the romantic manner, diameter 51mm.
