A GEORGE I BLACK AND GILT-JAPANNED DRESSING-MIRROR
Decorated overall with Chinoiserie scenes of landscapes and pavilions within scrolling foliage, the shaped rectangular bevelled later plate within a moulded frame, between turned baluster supports, above a bureau section with a hinged slope, enclosing a fitted interior of pigeon-holes and drawers above a long drawer, on ebonised bun feet, the metalwork and handles replaced, refreshments to the decoration, the drawer previously fitted, the reverse of the mirror and underside of the frieze drawer with painted inventory number '5113'
