A MATCHED PAIR OF ANGLO-INDIAN SPECIMEN-WOOD AND EBONY CENTRE TABLES
Second quarter 19th Century
Each with hexagonal moulded top with leaf-carved edge enclosing six calamander-veneered segments banded with chevrons of bone and ebony centred by a rosette of specimen woods including amaranth, satinwood, end-cut palm and other woods above a moulded frieze enclosing a mahogany and ebony-lined drawer, on twin leaf-wrapped scrolled supports, on a rounded rectangular base with moulded edge, with leaf-wrapped scroll feet
One: 29¼ in. (74.5 cm.) high; 21½ in. (54.5 cm.) diam.
The other 29¾ in. (75.5 cm.) high; 22 in. (56 cm.) diam. (2)
