A SET OF EIGHT DUTCH WALNUT AND BEECH DINING-CHAIRS
19th Century
Each with scrolled stiles flanking a solid vase-shaped splat, above a drop-in seat covered in gros point floral needlework, with a shaped apron, on cabriole legs headed by foliage and joined by waved H-shaped stretchers, on pad feet, two stretchers replaced (8)
Provenance
Lt. Col. A. Heywood-Lonsdale, M.C., sold in these Rooms, 12 December 1957, lot 83 (the needlework by Mabel Lonsdale, 1926).
