with brass-bound mahogany lagged cylinder approximately 2in. bore x 2¾in. stroke, cylinder head displacement lubricator, frame incorporated crosshead guides, barrelled connecting rod with gibbed and cottered big end bearing with split brasses, inlet pipe with regulator valve, exhaust pipe, waisted crank, the crankshaft running in two main bearings with split brasses, friction driven Watt governor, linkage and valve; spoked flywheel and belt driven disc drive from an electric motor concealed in the display base, the engine floor raised on four cast fluted columns, finished in black and polished brightwork, brass plate engraved Stationary Steam Engine used for driving small machinery Clerkenwell 1865 -- 36 x 19in.
