An unusual late 19th-Century small full size horizontally opposed hot air engine
built by Whitney, with power cylinder 2in. bore x 1½in. stroke with disc crank and round rim cast curved spoked flywheel with rod connection to the displacer piston rod and central heat tube and casing, finished in 'aluminium' and red, wood and metal mount --6½ x 19½in. (16.5 x 49.5cm.)
