A detailed 1½: 1ft scale 7½in. gauge display model of the Western and Atlantic Railroad Baldwin type 4-4-0 locomotive and tender No.3, 'The General', originally built 1855 by Rogers Locomotive Works, Patterson NJ
and modelled by W.G. Bryant, with copper boiler with water gauge with glass protector and shut-off valves, pressure gauge, safety and other valves and level test cocks. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link reverse, valve chest lubricators, double bar type crosshead guides, working leaf springs, pipework, cowcatcher, headlamp bell, sandbox, whistle, glazed wooden cab and other details, the twin bogie tender with water cocks, riveting, firewood and braced framing, finished in black, red, green and polished brightwork --20 x 67in.
