A well engineered small full size twin cylinder vertical reversing launch engine
built by A. Boham, with brass-bound mahogany lagged cylinders 2in. bore x 2in. stroke, cylinder head displacement lubricators, hand lever operated draincocks and neat pipework, lagged inlet pipe, exhaust manifold, hand lever and quadrant operated Stephenson's link reverse, double bar type rear frame mounted crosshead guides, squared section connecting rods with main bearing oil pots, counter-balanced crankshaft built up in three sections with bolted flanged joints and three main bearings, one plain and two roller, and disc flywheel, finished in grey and polished brightwork and mounted on a cast bed with brass plate engraved 'Built by Ambrose Boham Toolmaker for J.V. Murcott & Sons Ltd Aston, Birmingham 1967' -- 18½ x 18½in. (47 x 47cm.)
