A fine 17th-Century brass universal equinoctial ring dial,
signed Koch in Wieñ, the meridian ring with sliding throne with sprung tension supports and suspension loop, engraved with one quadrant graduated 0°-90° and the names and latitudes of twelve continental cities and towns on both sides, one side of the equinoctial ring with a further eight towns and latitudes on one side and graduated on the other with hours I - XII (x2), the bridge with calendar scale on one side and Zodiac scale on the other, with sliding pin-hole sight -- 2 7/8in. (7.3cm.) diameter
