Lot Essay

A lazy susan of this exact model was labelled by William Harrison and was sold anonymously, in these Rooms, 21 April 1994, lot 14. Nine William Harrisons are recorded as working in the second quarter of the 19th Century in The Dictionary of English Furniture Makers, Leeds, 1986, p. 405. Another lazy Susan of almost identical form to the Harrison one and the present lot was sold anonymously, in these Rooms, 6 April 1995, lot 9.
