The later rectangular plate within a pierced scrolling foliate and rocaille frame, the canopy cresting above an arch flanked by C-scrolls, the pierced apron with leaf spray within confronting C-scrolls on a rocky plinth, losses to apron, inscribed in pencil 'over fireplace' and with further chalk inscriptions
