A Swiss brass quarter-repeating mignonette carriage timepiece, circa 1890
The anglaise riche Corinthian case with reeded columns and Greek key handle, off white enamel Roman dial with gilt dot minute markers and silvered diamond five minute batons, decorated with floral sprays to the inner track, with pierced gilt-metal hands, the single barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, repeating on two steel gongs via two hammers on the backplate stamped for the Geneva Watch Co. and numbered 53573 -- 3 2/3in. (9cm.) high
