A Louis XV ormolu-mounted corne verte striking bracket clock with wall bracket, mid 18th century
The waisted case with foliate cast mounts and surmounted by a flowering branch cresting, with glazed side panels and front door, brass-panelled rear door, on scroll feet, the cast dial applied with white enamel Roman cartouche chapters and outside Arabic five minutes, white enamel centre signed FILON A PARIS, the twin barrel movement with verge escapement, silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell housed in the pediment, repeat signature to the backplate -- 24¾in. (63cm.) high; and the waisted wall bracket en suite -- 11¼in. (28.5cm.) high (2)
