The drum-shaped case surmounted by a flowering urn, with further vases issuing flowers to the sides, an apron below cast with grapes and vines and centred by a later roundel, with fluted columns rising from a rectangular base with beaded gallery mounts and with anthemion cast panel to the front, on four flattened feet, the white enamel Arabic dial with inner concentric calendar ring, signed Laude à Mons, pierced gilt metal hands (later hour), the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell -- 21¼in. (54cm.) high
