A Regency rosewood and brass inlaid striking bracket clock, circa 1820
The case with turned urn finial above a fluted pediment, silk backed brass fisv scale sound frets to the sides, with brass strips applied to the chamfered angles of the front door and inlay to the base below, on brass ball feet, the 7in. square silvered Roman dial with engraved scroll spandrels and signed in the centre W.m Johnson Strand. London, strike/silent lever above XII, blued steel hands, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, with pendulum holdfast to the backplate signed Wm. Johnson 50, Strand LONDON -- 17¼in. (44cm.) high
