The case with brass handle to the bell top and pineapple finials to the angles (later), glazed brass-lined side panels, foliate scroll cast brass silk backed sound frets (later) to the the top of the brass-lined front door, rear door with ebonised wood frets, the stepped and moulded base on brass bracket feet, the dial with foliate scroll spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, matted centre with date aperture, blued steel hands, signed on a plaque in the arch Allam & Clements London, with subsidiary strike/silent and pendulum regulation rings to the sides, also with matted centres, the five pillar twin gut fusee movement with verge escapement and strike on bell (later), pull trip repeat, the backplate engraved with foliate scrolls around a flowering vase and with hinged pendulum holdfast -- 15¾in. (40cm.) high
