A George III oak 30-hour hooded wall clock, mid 18th century
With stepped top to the hood, supported on a bracket with scroll sides, the 10in. square brass dial with foliate scroll and floral urn spandrels to a chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers and signed Wm. Hoadly ROTHER FIELD, the matted centre with ringed ornament, single hand (part later), the twin train posted frame movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on bell above -- 21½in. (54.5cm.) high
