A small Continental striking wall clock, mid 19th century
Mounted on an oak backboard with arched top and repoussé brass gables raised with running anthemions (possibly later), the clock mounted on hook and spikes, with brass frame, ribbon tied fruiting branch mounts to the arch, with cross and orb cut-outs to the sides, white enamel Roman dial with steel hands, the twin train weight-driven movement with anchor escapement and silk suspension, trip repeat, with strike on bell to the top -- 12½in. (32cm.) high
