Proof £1 brown-lilac, Plate 1, imprimatur, EG, large part original gum and large margins all round; trivial gum bend, nevertheless a wonderfully fresh and exceptionally fine example. Very rare. Only twenty examples were removed from the imprimatur sheet. This example adjoins the impression lettered EF in the 'Latto' 1992 auction. R.P.S. Certificate (2001) states "crease" which we consider to be overly harsh. Cat. £14,000
