A MAHOGANY BUREAU BOOKCASE, 18TH CENTURY AND LATER
Top and base possibly associated, the upper part with a moulded dentil, broken pediment and cornice with blind fret frieze (fret missing from sides) fitted with adjustable shelves and enclosed by a pair of glazed astragal doors, the lower part with a sloping fall, enclosing a fitted interior with central cupboard, fitted with pigeon holes and two drawers, enclosed by a panel door with fret trellis border and gothic pointed arch decorated panel flanked by pierced fret arched interlaced pigeon holes, possibly later, containing four short and two long drawers, with later lined writing surface, containing four long drawers with steel locks, on ogee bracket feet (defective)
