AN ITALIAN GILT VARNISHED SILVERED (MECCA) CANAPE
Possibly Naples, circa 1730, with padded shaped rectangular back and seat covered in floral patterned gro-point needlework with out curved arms and scroll terminals with leaf wrap supports above a shaped apron centred by a stylised shell on shell headed cabriole legs and outscroll feet, the central front foot tipped, the back leg silvered and carved to the reverse with later metal cross-strut, the back rail replaced
