Lot Essay

This design, number 99277, was registered and patented by the Coalbrookdale Iron Foundry on 5th February 1854, and is seat number 22 in their 1875 Coalbrookdale Castings Catalogue, Section III, page 253. The present seat is the less common 3 ft. size.
