A gold, enamel and pearl pendant attributed to Carlo Giuliano,
the oval glazed centre with black and white piqué enamel border and pegged pearl surround, with matching enamel loop, in a fitted case, the lining gilt stamped Collingwood & Son, 46 Conduit St. London, the back of the case impressed K.

Further details
This pendant may be compared to one illustrated in Castellani and Giuliano by Geoffrey C. Munn, page 65. It will be noted that in this example there is no pearl below the pendant loop whereas the present example has a modified loop fitting with a pearl. This may well be a later alteration resulting in the loss of the maker's mark which is often in this location.

This pendant may be compared to one illustrated in Castellani and Giuliano by Geoffrey C. Munn, page 65. It will be noted that in this example there is no pearl below the pendant loop whereas the present example has a modified loop fitting with a pearl. This may well be a later alteration resulting in the loss of the maker's mark which is often in this location.
