Tasting note: Very gradual colour loss but stil fairly deep, plummy and only just starting to mature; extraordinary melange of fragrances, pure liquorice, figs, strawberry, with citrus crispness; sweet, full-bodied, fleshy, soft, lovely fruit, balanced and backbone. Flavour like liquorice "Pontefract cakes" - as previoulsy made in Yorkshire. Great future. M.B.
