A Japanese ivory okimono of a group of dancers
19th Century
carved with the three figures wearing long decorated robes two with one arm raised, beside a monkey also dancing in a similar pose -- 3¾in. (9.5cm.) high; and another ivory okimono of Shoulao, the bearded figure carved wearing long robes and draped headdress, holding a bamboo staff with attached scroll, on an oval base -- 8in. (20.3cm.) high, (splits to figure of Shoulao).
