An Imperial Satsuma pear-shaped vase
19th century
with flaring neck and short foot, painted and gilt to one side with a panel of iris and chrysanthemum sprays, the reverse with a jardiniere of irises, a table with scattered albums and scrolls and a teapot with three teacups and suacers to the foreground, all on a raised red ground of scrolling foliage, the neck with raised blue and white glazed lappets reserved with floral motifs -- 12in. (30.5cms) high, signed.
