Tang Dynasty
one gentleman wearing a tall hat and flowing robes, playing the pan pipes, the other wearing armoured robes and helmet, the horse also dressed in armour, both horses standing on rectangular bases with their heads lowered, painted in red, black and white pigments -- 11¾in. (29.8cms) high, (one horse with left ear broken off, old wear).
