A large Chinese painted pottery model of a pavilion with three separate pottery figures
Ming Dynasty
the pavilion with central aperture revealing a raised ledge, flanked by panels moulded in relief with lotus motif and simulated windows, flanked by columns, surmounted by a frieze carved with panels of quatrefoil cartouches, the central figure seated upon the ledge modelled as a gentleman wearing brown robes and a tall hat, a male and female attendant to the foreground wearing green and part ochre glazed robes, the pavilion glazed green and ochre with additional red pigment -- the pavilion 18¾in. (47.5cms) high, (attendants' heads restuck).
