The blue-green field with a lattice of palmettes with a quatrefoil medallion within a raspberry split-leaf tendril and palmette border, reduced in length

Warp: cotton, tan-ivory, natural, Z4S
Weft: cotton, tan-ivory, natural, Z2S, 3 shoots equally alternating Pile: wool, Z2; asymmetric knots open left; alternate warps depressed average 45 degrees, H13 x V10.5
Sides and ends: all not original
Colors: deep green, cherry, lime, golden-ivory, gold ochre, navy, medium blue-green, dark brown, orange-ochre, olive brown, moss green, deep taupe (12)

It is very rare to have the field color as deep green with a contrasting red border. Most of all of the 17th century Isfahan carpets are the opposite and have a red field with either a blue or green border.
