The brass and steel three train movement with visible platform escapement, gilt three-arm balance, en passant, quarter hour striking, quarter repeating and alarm with three hammers on two bells mounted to the backplate, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel moon-style hands, subsidiary dial for alarm indication with corresponding blued steel hand, the gilt case with glazed sides displaying the movement, quarter repeat mechanism operated by pressing the button on top of the case, dial and movement signed, movement stamped H.L.
